KARACHI: The 3-day Independence Day Girls Table Tennis tournament concluded here on Thursday with Government Women College Sharea Liaquat won both the single and double titles.
The tournament organised by Sports Department of Sindh government and sponsored by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association, said the organiser. Results: Single Final-Mahnoor of host Government Women College defeated Rozen of her college colleague 11-5, 9-11, 12-10.
Double Final: Mahnoor and Rozen of Government Women College Sharea Liquat defated Khatoon-e- Pakistan Government Girls College’s Aisha and Malaika 2-0. Begsum Asma Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, distributed prizes among the winners.
Islamali Grils College players got fair play trophy. Sports Festival chief organiser Ghulam Muhammad Khan and Principal of Government Girls College Professor Safia Mousufi were also present. The tournament was held from August 16-18.
