HYDERABAD: Faculty and the students of Institute of Dentistry, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro marked the Independence Day with ‘candlelight vigil’ to honour and remember the martyrs of Quetta incident.
Addressing a gathering Vice Chancellor of University Professor Noshad Shaikh said that Pakistan is a beautiful land and a precious gift of Allah. Our forefathers sacrificed their lives to get freedom for us and we are still paying a huge cost for that as more than 60,000 people have lost their lives in last five years in several terrorist attacks. Quetta incident was a big shock for the entire nation, no religion promotes terrorism and the terrorists are simply non humanitarians with no religion. Today’s gathering is to condemn the terrorism and violence whether it is in Quetta, Peshawar and Karachi or anywhere in the world.
Vice Chancellor mentioned we should show the world that the nation is united for peace and humanity and any evil force cannot split us apart.
