Prime accused in Fahd murder case a ‘hardened criminal’

ISLAMABAD: Raja Arshad was nominated in murder case of Fahd Malik, nephew of former Prime Minister Muhammad Mian Soomro is reportedly stated to be a hardened criminal who is found involved in two murder and several land grabbing cases including widely known Sabira Bibi murder case.

The two murder cases against him are pending for hearing in the courts and there are five such cases wherein he is charged with occupying land illegally, grabbing land and entering into clashes with others.

Prior to Barrister Fahd Malik murder case, he is nominated in murder cases of Sabira Bibi and Chaudhry Irshad’s security guard.

Both Raja Arshid and Imtiaz Khokhar alias Taji Khokhar were nominated in Sabira Bibi murder case. Later Raja Arshid was granted bail after staying in Jail for 6 months while Taji Khokhar is still in jail.

The murder case of Sabira Bibi is registered in Airport Police Station Islamabad and murder case of security guard of Chaudhry Irshad is registered against Raja Arshad in Koral Police Station.

Raja Arshad has been released on bail in this case as well.

The murder case of Fahd Malik is third case registered against Raja Arshid and he and Noman Khokhar are nominated in the murder case of Fahd Malik.

Noman Khokhar (son in law of Taji Khokhar) has obtained interim bail from the court while Raja Arshad has neither obtained bail nor has he been arrested so far.

Police summoned Raja Ansar brother of Raja Arshad in police station and investigated him about his brother. Raja Arshad had succeeded in fleeing the scene and police are conducting raids to arrest him.

Raja Arshad is General Secretary, Airport Housing Society Islamabad and he occupies the land illegally at the behest of these two influential persons.

Punjab government has allegedly imposed fine amounting to Rs 80 billion on Airport Housing Society.

A day before this murder, Raja Arshad was sitting in a coffee cafe with a girl Shanzey in F-11.

In the meantime Bazaid, cousin of the girl turned up and Raja Arshid entered into arguments with him. Later he argued with Hasnain brother of Bazaid and the matter was reported in the police station.

In the meantime, Malik Tariq, father of Hasnain and Fahd Malik also reached the police station. Efforts were made to forge reconciliation between Raja Arshad and Hasnain Malik in the police station. Both the groups started exchanging hot words during the process of reconciliation and they rushed out of the police station. Fahd Malik and Tariq Malik also came out to pacify them. Raja Arshad started firing indiscriminately and Malik Fahd was killed on the spot and Tariq Malik was critically injured during the firing. Raja Arshad succeeded in making good escape from the scene.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shanzey belongs to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf affiliated political family.
