PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) dissident lawmakers threatened to tender resignations from the assembly if Imran Khan failed to consider their rightful reservations against Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.

Dissident members of the party held their second press conference in Peshawar on Friday and stressed upon the party chairman to take action against the Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak in light of corruption proofs provided to him by the disgruntled members.Speaking on the occasion, MPA Yaseen Khalil said if Imran Khan did not pay any heed to their demands and party reputation in the province then the option of resignation from the provincial and national assembly would be used.

He said that time has come to go back in the court of the people who had once mandated PTI for change and against corruption.

Criticizing PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s 13-point reforms agenda to bring real change in KP, the lawmakers committed to hold PTI workers conventions district-wise and make public aware that some corrupt leaders of the PTI in province have shake hands with other political parties to defame PTI in the province.

The lawmakers alleged KP Chief Minister Khattak for grabbing the other MPA funds and deducted their developmental funds and privileges. The disgruntled lawmaker’s representative shared on the occasion that PTI members have decided come on roads against the Pervaiz Khattak discriminatory and bigotry behaviours.

The dissident lawmakers have concluded that none of the member in the central cabinet of PTI looks serious to take us on the board despite our strong agitation and press conferences. Lawmakers said that the CM in the province has malign party stake and party reputation has relatively reduced to great extent.

Members shared that KP CM Khattak has kept PTI Chief Imran Khan in the dark about the party fragile condition and reputation in the province. Members urged that several incidents in the province happened that demoralized the PTI workers but PTI chief was kept unaware from the reality. Some of PTI ministers will prove the cause of the PTI debacle in coming general election and senior members of the party must pay attention towards the party reputation.

The lawmakers said that corruption is at its peak in different departments of the province while Khattak and his team ignored these departments corruption under a pre-planned scheme. They accused the CM for using funds of the entire province in four districts, including Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi and Dir.

They said that today press conference would be final to decide the fate of the chief minister and its allies in the province.

The press conference was attended by MNAs Khyal Zaman Bangush, Dawar Kundi, Amirullah Marwat, Sajid Nawaz and Junaid Akbar, MPAs Yasin Khalil, Qurban Ali, Babar Saleem, Jamshed Mohmand, Shakeel Ahmad and PTI workers of different districts.

It is pertinent to mentioned here, that PTI dissidents have for the first time put forward their demands and have decide to give tough time party Chairman and Pervaiz Khattak.
