Khursheed Shah pays surprise visit to Civil Hospital Sukkur

SHIKARPUR: After taking notice, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah paid a surprise visit of Civil Hospital Sukkur and inquired about the death toll of newborn babies, who died due to non-provision of oxygen gas, on Saturday.

Speaking to the journalists, Syed Khursheed Shah showed his grief and sorrow about the deaths of newborn babies with the bereaved families. He said notice has been taken regarding the incident of two newborn infants deaths, while budget of Civil Hospital Sukkur has been increased so that medicine could be provided free of cost among needy and deserving patients for larger interests of the patients. Furthermore, private medical stores, which have been set up in the premises of Civil Hospital Sukkur would be closed so that no one could purchase medicines from private medical stores, Shah added. Replying to a question Shah said that, I am trying to improve the condition of government hospitals than private hospitals and in this regard a high level meeting has been summoned on upcoming Sunday, which would be attended by Health Minister Sindh.
