Quetta: Death toll increases to 9 due to Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in Quetta. Details reveal that 84 patients were initially brought into Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah Hospital and 22 of them have been confirmed Congo virus positive, whereas three are still under treatment.One of the affected patients Habibullah is showing signs of slow recovery while the other two have been shifted to Karachi.Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital is the only centre in Balochistan to treat Congo virus where a large number of patients were admitted coming from the far flung areas of the province. Some of the patients are also from neighbouring country Afghanistan.
