Sir: A proper education system is the backbone of a developed country. For development, a nation should give prime importance to its education system. One thing should be kept in mind that being educated doesn’t mean to know how to read or write, but it means to be rational and being able to innovate and interpret things with changing times.
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi and Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, which is the core foundation of the youngsters learning to step into the real world, is at its worst position.
The way of teaching here needs to be changed. Teachers teach students how to gain marks instead of knowledge. Students just memorise the course and do not know how and where they can implement these things in our life. When students with such practice enter universities, they see the real world for the first time.
After getting enrolled in a university, they realise that just memorising the topics is not going to help them in universities nor their career. Then it gets tough for them to adjust to this change and they expect their faculty to spoon-feed them. Therefore the student is left on his own, and that way many careers are ruined.
This is why among a significant amount of enrolled students only a few serve their profession and nation well.
