Terror bid foiled in Barkhan

QUETTA: On Tuesday, the Frontier Corps Balochistan foiled a terror bid in Barkhan by recovering a huge cache of weapons and explosives in Chappar area. A spokesman for FC said here that following the intelligence information, FC personnel conducted a raid in Chappar area of Barkhan district and seized weapons, explosives. “The recovered weapons and ammunition include three missile launchers, 60 rocket mortars, 46 other mortars, eight landmines, 150 detonators, fuses and pressure button,” he said. He further said that the militants had planned to use explosives to carry out acts of terrorism by targeting security forces and other people.
