ECP declares Baldiv Kumar as returned candidate

Author: By Ijaz Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan issued the notification of Baldev Kumar’s victory in the polls, who was nominated in FIR in the murder case of PTI’s former minority MPA Sardar Soran Singh. Beldev contested the elections on the ticket of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf. He will take an oath in the next session of Provincial Assembly. The notification was issued after a lapse of four months. Beldev Kumar got a priority list from PTI in which it was shown that he was kept as returning candidate after Soran Singh died. Police arrested Beldev Kumar on 22nd April this year in the murder case of Singh. Then PTI tried its best and used all the constitutional and legal ways to remove the name of Beldev Kumar as returned candidate. But when they found no way then Speaker KP Assembly had to inform Election Commission that seat of Soran was vacated.
