MQM offices in Larkana, Naudero closed

LARKANA: As many six offices of Muttahida Quomi Movement (MQM) remained closed after the attack on news media offices by its party workers on Monday evening. Journalists and civil society activists have staged protests against the attack.

Journalists of Larkana and Naundero have held protest and demonstrations in their respective clubs and condemned the attack by MQM activists on media houses and the harassment faced by their fellow journalists.

In Larkana the protest was led by Babu Iqbal and was attended by PPP General Secretary Fattah Bhutto and in Naundero it was led by Rahmat Morio. Civil society members also took part in both the events. Rahmat Morio said that MQM has once again proved that it is a terrorist organization and not a political party and demanded that it should be banned. The Media persons demanded fool proof security to Media Houses in the country along with working Journalists.
