PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, has taken serious notice of the accusations levelled by its own dissident party members against the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, a source told Daily Times here on Tuesday.

The meeting between the dissident lawmakers including members of the provincial and national assembly from Khyber Pakhtukhwa (KP) and Imran Khan discussed the charges of the group against Pervez Khattak.

The Member of the National Assembly, Juniad Akbar, said that the meeting with Imran Khan was held at his residence and hopefully their stance would be taken to its logical conclusion. He said that the party chairman had a serious intention to resolve the issue for good.

It pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan, after holding a meeting with the dissidents, invited the chief minister Pervez Khattak for talks to discuss the diasporas among the party.

The source from the PTI told this scribe on the condition of anonymity that Imran Khan was relatively kept in the dark about the stance of the dissidents.

He said that Imran Khan had given the task to the MPA Shah Farman, to resolve the differences between the dissidents MPAs and the Chief Minster Pervaz Khattak, but he could not manage to sort out the situation.

The source said that Imran Khan, after the meeting was now keen to resolve the reservation of the dissidents MPAs and MNAs of the province before jumping into the Panama movement against the federal government. “When the representative of the dissident group presented the proofs of alleged corruption and nepotism of Pervez Khattak and other senior ministers of the province to Khan, he was taken aback by the alarming situation in KP” the source added.

MPA Yaseen Khalil had earlier said in a press conference that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan had been relatively unaware of the party’s position and its fragile graph in the province which was being marred by Khattak and the allies.

The group of the dissidents held one meeting with the party chief and the second meeting is expected to be held next week at Bani Gala which would be likely be attended by Pervez Khattak.

A senior leader of the PTI revealed that the party was going to re-shuffle the slot of the advisers in the province for different departments. He said that the idea would take place in order to adjust some of the MPAs from the dissident groups and ease the tug of war between the pressure group and the chief minister.

He said that dissidents demanding a line share in the ministries and development schemes, which have been denied by the chief minister but added that after the two consecutive press conferences Khattak would agree upon certain conditions.

“The next meeting in Bani Gala between party the chairman and its dissidents members would likely be reached on the agenda of proper share in developmental schemes and granting a proper share in advisers’ slots” the source claimed.
