KARACHI: The Pakistan’s first ISO certified Special Security Unit of Sindh Police has received warm response as National Testing Service (NTS) received more than 63000 applications for only 420 posts. Physical Test for the recruitment of Commandos, Lady Commandos and Constable Drivers in Special Security Unit Sindh Police are being held at five Centres – Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur. Over 55000 candidates have applied for 420 posts in which 350 posts are reserved for Commandos, 20 for Lady Commandos, 20 for Drivers and 50 for Constables. Uptill now, a total 18960 candidates appeared in Physical Test out of 30710 candidates called for and only 3699 candidates stood qualified showing average of 12.04%. While, more than 6604 candidates have appeared out of 8167 candidates in Aptitude Test for Civilian posts and candidates are awaiting results. The Civilian posts include Junior Clerks-05, Auto Mechanic-01, Cook-04, Waiter-03 and Sanitary Worker-02. The qualified candidates for Civilian Posts will be further called for Typing and Demonstration Tests by NTS. The Physical Test started from August 18 and will continue till August 26 in Karachi and Hyderabad while in Sukkur it will continue till August 31. The Physical Test is being held at Police Training College Saeedabad and ShaheedBanazir Bhutto Elite Police Training Centre Karachi and Sachal Sarmast Road and Airport Road Hyderabad from August 18 to 26, 2016. The physical test of candidates is also being continued at Society Road near Abad Thana Sukkur from August 21 to 31, 2016.
