PTI demands Operation Zarbe-e-Azb against MQM

LAHORE: The parliamentary party of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while passing a condemnation resolution, demanded extension in military operation Zarb-e-Azb for bringing to book national traitors and elements speaking the language of the Indian intelligence agency, RAW.

The PTI’s provincial parliamentary party held it’s meeting at the opposition leader’s chamber in the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday. Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed presided over the meeting and strongly condemned the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers for attacking media houses, as well as party’s exiled chief Altaf Hussain for his anti-Pakistan speeches.

Rasheed demanded immediate return of Altaf Hussain from England, as he was spreading anti-state messages, besides defaming Pakistan from there. During the meeting, PTI’s parliamentary party passed another resolution, demanding complete authority to Pakistan Rangers for holding an indiscriminate operation against terrorism across Punjab. The party members also decided to protest over the issue of Panama leaks.

Meanwhile, PTI chairman’s advisor Dr Yasmin Rashid, while talking to workers’ delegations on Wednesday, said India was directly involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) always gave a deaf ear when it came to criticising India.

She said the PML-N days are numbered and PTI would form its government in the future. She said PTI candidate Fawad Chaudhry would win the by-election in Jehlum and defeat rigging as well as pressure tactics of PML-N.

Dr Yasmin said the ruling party was continuously telling lies to the nation while load shedding was increasing along with price-hike, joblessness and corruption and looting spree. She said the rulers had become curse for the country and the nation would no more tolerate such incompetence from them.

Congratulating the PTI Karachi leadership for winning the vice chairman’s seat in local government elections, she said PTI would come into power with the power of votes in the next general elections.

Moreover, PTI leader and former Punjab governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that accountability rally on September 3 would prove to be a referendum against rulers, as reverse counting against Sharif brothers has been started.

He said his party would unveil the real faces of corrupt rulers before the public after coming into power in the next general elections. PTI would get more seats than any other political party, he affirmed, urging the Election Commission of Pakistan to play a free and fair role in by-elections of Jehlum instead of favouring a particular political party.
