LAHORE: WAPDA Chairman Muzammil Hussain on Thursday said his first priority would be completion of the under-construction hydropower projects in the shortest possible time.

Presiding over a meeting, the newly-appointed chairman said that he had accepted a challenging assignment of WAPDA chairman and would make all out efforts to make a difference. He thanked the prime minister for reposing trust for the job of national importance.

“I am determined to perform my duties with a sense of fulfilling assignment of national significance. It is a huge trust on me and my team to match up with expectations of the prime minister and fulfil the government’s agenda of completing the hydro projects by the deadlines,” said Muzammil Hussain.

Dilating upon his priorities, he said the construction work on ready-to-construct water and hydropower projects would also be initiated on fast track basis by removing bottle necks in the way to their implementation.

He interacted with the employees and said that they should work together to improve the organisation and develop the country. The meetings were attended by members of the authority, secretary, WAPDA Administration managing director and other senior officers.
