Shoaib Akhtar accuses ICC of biased attitude after Steve Smith jibe

Author: Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has accused the International Cricket Council (ICC) of biased behaviour, after the cricket governing body’s Twitter account trolled him for claiming that it would merely take him four balls to dismiss Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith. Earlier this week, the official ICC account trolled the former pacer in a subtle manner. The account tweeted three pictures. In the first picture Basketball legend, Michael Jordan looks down to something. In the next picture, it is revealed as Akhtar’s tweet. The third picture shows the legendary basketball player laughing. The 44-year-old was not amused by the ICC’s reply and took to Twitter, to express his displeasure. “A symbolic tweet, how the ICC has thrown neutrality out of the window. Basically this is how the state of affairs are run there,” Akhtar tweeted. Akhtar represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 163 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 15 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) while taking 178 wickets, 247 wickets and 19 wickets respectively in each format.
