QUETTA: Two more suspected Congo virus patients were admitted to the Miss Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital and the TB Hospital Quetta, doctors confirmed on Friday. The doctors said that the two patients, Essa Muhammad and Khan, were brought from Panjpai and Loralai areas to Quetta and were admitted to the hospitals. The symptoms present in them were bleeding from the nose and mouth, they added. “We have sent their blood samples to Aga Khan Hospital Laboratory in Karachi for diagnose and are waiting for the reports,” doctors said. A total of 86 patients were brought to the isolation ward of the two hospitals, out of which 22 tested positive. Nine patients have died of Congo virus this year, they said.
