KARACHI: The Sindh government, in pursuance of the Supreme Court’s orders, has sent at least 37 lower-grade employees, who were enjoying the most lucrative posts of mukhtiarkars and assistant mukhtiarkars, to their original departments, Daily Times has learnt.
In this regard, the Senior Member Board of Revenue, Rizwan Memon has issued a Notification No PS/Secy(Rev)/Kar/BOR/2016/954 issued in context of the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan dated 26.5.2016 passed in Civil Petition No.76 & 77 whereby the field postings of Mukhtiarkars and Assistant Mukhtiarkars allowed to these officials/officers of Revenue Department who were allowed exemption from Passing Revenue Qualifying Examination have been withdrawn, they are hereby repatriated and relieved with immediate effect to their substantive posts shown against each with direction to report to their original and parent offices.

When contacted, Senior Member Board of Revenue Rizwan Memon told Daily Times that the divisional commissioner and deputy commissioners have been directed to relieve unqualified/exempted officers/officials, immediately in compliance with above orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and non compliance of which shall definitely expose the concerned defaulting officer/officials to contempt of court proceedings.
