ISLAMABAD: A man was shot and killed by robbers late on Friday.

According to details, unidentified gunmen forced their way into the house of Muhammad Adnan, a resident of Gulshan Saeed. They held up the family and told them to hand over cash and valuables. Saeed tried to resist. However, the robbers shot him multiple times before fleeing. He was taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. An FIR has been registered.

20-year-old drowns: A man drowned in the Soan River near the Simly Dam on Saturday. According to details, Mohsin, 20, was taking a bath in the river when he drowned in deep water. Rescue 1122 reached the scene and fished out the body.

Two abducted: Two girls were abducted from various areas of Rawalpindi on Saturday. A 17-year-old girl was abducted from Dhamial. According to the Saddar Bairooni Police, she had gone to school, but did not return home. Her parents then lodged a complaint with police.

Muhammad Javed, a resident of Sanj, filed a complaint with Murree Police, stating that his 16-year-old daughter had been abducted.

Separately, Abbas lodged a report with Race Course Police, stating that his brother Aqeel had been abducted from Misrial Road.

Sanitary worker commits suicide: A man committed suicide on Saturday in Rawalpindi. According to details, the victims worked in a government hospital as a sanitary worker. New Town Police said that he had not been paid his salary and was depressed over monetary problems.

FIR registered: A case was registered against a man by Saddar Bairooni Police on Saturday for threatening a lawyer.

Ahsan Zameer, a resident of Saddar Bairooni, lodged a complaint, stating that Abbas had called him on his phone and threatened him with dire consequences. “Abbas also threatened to abduct me,” he told police. Police are investigating.
