Attacks on security forces

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It is with great sorrow that I highlight the sad reality that law-enforcement agencies officials are being attacked by unknown miscreants. Most recent of these events took place in Gwadar district’s Jiwani area near the Kuldan cross.

An unidentified group attacked security officials while they were on a routine visit to the area. This does not bide well with government’s claims of improving law and order situation. Security personnel are being regularly attacked in these areas. Therefore, I request the government of Pakistan to pay special attention towards these incidents as well as arrange for specialised training of the forces operating in restive areas so that they are well equipped to handle any untoward situation.

Moreover, I would also request people of these localities to cooperate with the security officials as they are risking their lives for the protection of the people.
