Rawalpindi police allegedly backed the accused person involved in a rape case of a minor girl, according to sources.
According to details, the 12-year-old girl, Iqra Fatima was gang-raped within the limits of Rawat police station, Rawalpindi. Sources have claimed that a PTI minister from Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is allegedly involved in the case.
Notably, the police have been clearly instructed not to allow media to cover the case during the court appearance.
Police, on the other hand, are claiming that the girl is an adult woman. Meanwhile, the girl’s lawyer has demanded a medical examination in order to determine her age.
Earlier, four men including three policemen allegedly gang-raped a woman after abducting her in Rawalpindi.
According to the victim, the policemen travelling in a car with black shades stopped the car while she was on her way to her hostel and abducted her.
She was gang raped in the car in a desolated area. The suspects also looted Rs30,000 and the victim’s gold jewellery.
