Azhar Ali Pakistan’s Test skipper`s triple century bat and Champions Trophy’s shirt have been auctioned.
The 35-year-old last week announced to auction his memorabilia in order to gather money which will be utilized in helping needy people during the current situation.
The bat got auctioned for 1 million rupees to an Indian museum whereas Kash Villani from California got the Champions Trophy shirt for 1.1 million rupees. Jamal Khan of New Jersey had announced to donate 10% of the highest bid for the shirt.
“A total of 2.2 million have been raised through the auction process. I will directly help the victims of COVID-19. I will try to reach out to deserving people associated with sports too,” Azhar Ali said.
