KARACHI: A Child suffering from full-blown rabies after being bitten by a stray dog in Larkana over 20 days ago died Today at Indus Hospital Karachi.
As per details 9 years old teenage Zeeshan was bitten by a stray dog in Larkana on 8th April 2020 and his parents took him to hospital at the same day as Government Hospital Larkana couldn’t tackle the case and child was not recovering so he was brought to Karachi’s Hospital yesterday.
“He was initially taken to the Sindh Government Hospital Larkana where he was under treatment for 20 days and then taken to the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) Karachi, but hospital denied him admitting in hospital,” said his father
According to his father he was vaccinated at the Civil Hospital in Larkana for which he paid Rs 16,000 but he was not recovering that is why hospital management referred to Karachi.
Indus Hospital administration said that the child was sent to Indus Hospital from another hospital but by that time he had developed full-blown rabies adding that the child had no signs of being vaccinated.
