LOS ANGELES: Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta claimed his first ATP Tour title with a 6-7 (8/10), 7-6 (7/1), 6-4 win over Roberto Bautista Agut at the Winston-Salem Open on Saturday. The 25-year-old Carreno Busta surprised the 17th-ranked Agut after losing the first set at the Wake Forest Tennis Center in North Carolina. Carreno Busta needed a little more than 2 1/2 hours to become the sixth first-time winner on the ATP Tour this season. Agut was trying to become the fifth player in Tour history to win three times in one season. He won earlier this year at Auckland, New Zealand, and Sofia, Bulgaria, and has four career titles.
