Civil society demands British govt to kick out Altaf Hussain

LAHORE: The Civil Society Network Pakistan (CSNP), condemning the anti-Pakistan statements made by traitor Altaf Husain, demanded the British government to throw him out or hand him over to the Pakistan government.

Participants of the network stated this during a meeting held on Sunday. They categorically said that there would be no compromise on the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan and no one would tolerate anti-Pakistan speeches and slogans. Under article 5 of the Constitution of Pakistan, every citizen is bound to show loyalty with the state besides following the constitution, they added.

They said it seemed that there was a great conspiracy against Pakistan, its armed forces, courts and people, adding that attack on media house on the orders of MQM chief was equivalent to a terrorist attack on the sovereignty of Pakistan. They said the speeches of Altaf Hussain gave a clear indication of his involvement behind creating anarchy in the country with an aim to divert the attention from the Indian brutalities and atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Civil Society Network Pakistan President Abdullah Malik strongly condemned the attitude of the federal government, which was not moving article 6 against Altaf Hussain, as he was involved in conspiracy against Pakistan since 1991. He said that the government should immediately summon the British high commissioner and inquire as to why the British land was being used against Pakistani security and sovereignty.

He added that a writ was pending before the full bench of Lahore High Court against Altaf Hussain and MQM, adding that LHC had already banned the live coverage of Altaf Hussain, his activities, tickers, photos and discussion about him.

He said, “We suggest the federal government to become a party and file a condemnation motion in our writ against Altaf Husain for early hearing. No doubt we believe in political dialogue and solution of issues through political process but in this situation, the sovereignty and integrity of the country is most important and we can’t allow a foreign citizen to put billions of lives in danger with the help of Indian agency, RAW. We believe that the citizen of Karachi are loyal towards Pakistan but a militant group of MQM, trained by RAW, was hijacking the peace process in Karachi and people like Farooq Sattar and others are just puppets in the hands of these elements.”

He said that all criminals must be booked and proceedings should be initiated accordingly. He said the British government believed in human rights and freedom of expression, but its citizen were attacking the fundamental rights other countries.
