PESHAWAR: Sohaib Maqsood has finally returned to some form as he slammed the fastest fifty in the National T20 championship on Monday (Today).

Sohaib is playing for the Peshawar team and today was hit day for sure. He was absolutely relentless in the middle. He came late and had just a few overs left to showcase his talent and he did that pretty well. Sohaib hit three sixes and 5 fours in his 20 balls 50. He was out after making 51 runs but his innings gave the Peshawar team the momentum they were looking for in the final overs.

He was really good against the pace. Junaid Khan who has been in the limelight for his tweets recently has shown that he was crying for nothing. There is no catch in his bowling. The pace is variable and he has forgotten the two words lie and length. He was bowling all over the place and against his short balls, Sohaib pulled him magnificently. Junaid said that he might shift to England and play there. This performance will not give him any place in any side not even in club cricket.

Sohaib well he has gotten success. The selectors will be watching the performances of the players and this is a good sign that he has picked up some pace. Sohaib was elegant and there is no doubt about it. He was hitting the ball hard and long. His running between the wickets was fantastic. His hand-eye coordination looked perfect. So this was a complete knock from him. He did the right things at the right time.
