Tharparkar-based MPA Rana Hameer Singh has contracted the COVID-19, according to a report issued by the diagnostic and research lab of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences.
According to sources, the MPA met and spent time with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) MPA Abdul Rasheed, who has also been tested positive, during the latter’s visit to inaugurate an intensive care unit at an Al-Khidmat Foundation health facility in Tharparkar over a week ago.
Separately, a woman beneficiary of the Ehsaas Program, hailing from a village in Dahili taluka of Tharparkar has also tested positive for the coronavirus.
