Seminar on Study of Essential, Heavy Metals from Fresh Fruit Juices

KHAIRPUR: M.Phil Seminar held at Institute of Chemistry, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Tuesday was presided by Prof. Dr. Badaruddin Memon, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences. Ms. Irum Naz Memon spoke on “Study of Essential and Heavy Metals from Fresh Fruit Juices by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy”, under supervision of Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghulam Qadir Shar.

Ms. Irum Memon said taking juices is best to get concentrated nutrients, overcome deficiency and get instant energy. Juices are not only good source of vitamin, dietary, fiber, minerals and texture top pleasure of eating food but also have anticancer and antioxidant properties. She said for analysis of metal concentration, fresh fruits and their commercial juices were digested by using standard methods. Prof. Dr. Badaruddin Memon said using fresh fruit juices people get instant energy. Prof. Dr. Mir Munsif Ali Talpur, Director, Institute of Chemistry &. Dr. Talpur spoke on teaching and research activities of Institute of Chemistry. Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi said research work was inline with Higher Education Commission and latest technology was adopted. Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas Shar, Prof. Dr. Vinod Kumar, Prof. Dr. Shafique Ahmed Arain, Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jakhrani, Dr. Zaibun-Nisa Memon, Dr. Khalida Mahar, Faqeer Mohammad Bohiro and scholars attended seminar.
