Reference against Altaf sent to UK

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Interior on Tuesday dispatched a reference against Altaf Hussein to the government of the United Kingdom for inciting people to violence in Pakistan.

The reference consists of Altaf Hussein’s vitriolic speech, a statement issued here by the ministry said. It said Altaf Hussain had committed violation of British law as well as international law. Action should be taken against him as per British laws. In the reference, the government of United Kingdom has been asked to take legal action against those responsible for inciting people to cause disorder in Pakistan.

A petition has also been submitted in the Supreme Court asking to impose a ban on MQM. The petitioner also demanded that the name of Altaf Hussain University in Sindh be changed.
