Cops have deployed and tents have been erected on both sides of the roads and security has been strengthened. The entire Bakrani Road looked deserted and all shops including grocery, vegetable and fruit vendors have been barred from entering these areas as a precautionary measure to save lives of others.

On the other hand, five members of influential Shaikh community family who were detected COVID-19 positive have been shifted from Isolation Ward of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) to Karachi on their own request for treatment and further management. The family pressurized the district and hospital administration despite the fact that there is still no treatment of this viral dreaded disease in the world. They sent videos of dirty bathrooms, bed sheets, torn mattresses and rusted beds kept at the isolation ward to the media persons and their relatives complaining against the unhygienic conditions which went viral after which administration decided to allow them to Karachi along with CMCH’s male staff nurses who also accompanied them.
