Ehsaas programme: five agents held for deducting ‘service charges’

Five agents have been arrested by Mehar Town police from Ehsaas Kafalat programme centre established at Degree College Mehar for receiving/deducting Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 from the cash aid given each of the poorest women.

Those were arrested, they were identified as Abdu Jabbar, Musharraf Ali, Hafeez Rehman, Sarfraz ali Tunio and Zaheer Abbas.

On the complaint of ASI Abdul Latif Junejo an FIR 76/2020 was lodged under section 420 and 460 PPC against five arrested agents.

SSP Dadu, Dr Farrukh Raza Malik directed to all police stations crackdown against agent’s mafia those were looting poorest women at Ehsas Kafalat Programme centres in Dadu district. DC Dadu, Raja Shahzaman Khuhro and SSP Dadu visited Ehsas Kafalat programme centres at Dadu, Johi and KN shah and supervised the releasing of payments to affected identified people.

DC Dadu Raja Shahzaman Khahro said that 30 thousands affected poorest families heads/people were identified in Dadu district and releasing of payments was started them at 35 Ehsas Kafalat programme centres in Dadu district.

He said that names more 30 thousands affected people were in process for Ehsas Kafalat programme in district.

He said that district administration had received complaints of agent Mafia from Ehasa Kafalat programme of Mehar and in Johi towns. He said that FIR was lodged against five people at Megar town police station after arresting them and agent mafia at Johi were under investigation and FIR also would be lodged against them.
