Chief administrator Auqaf government of Sindh, Munwar Mahesar, assistant commissioner Sehwan, Noor Ahmed Khahro arrived at shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar also reached at shrine and joined the manager Auqaf department Zubir Ahmed Baloch. No one was allowed into shrine from devotees. Later, door of shrine were closed.
Assistant Commissioner Sehwan, Noor Ahmed Khero speaking on the issue of gathering of people at Sehwan said that there was a group of devotees comprising on few people, wearing the red dress, gathered at main road of Dhamal chownk, they were drum beating and other passerby also gathered to see them but suddenly they were disbursed.
He said that it was strictly directed to local police do not allow anyone to gather in and around shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan.
Munwar Mahesar Chief Administrator Auqaf told that the according to government policy, the Auqaf officials will perform dhamal Qalandar and other rituals according to policy. He said those publics are not allowed to gather in city. SSP Jamshoro Amjad Shaikh said that at 12 places, district police Jamshoro had sealed Sehwan. He said that Dadu and Naushahro district police also were checking the vehicles at Dadu-Moro bridge and Jamshoro police at Amri bridge. He said that Urs was cancelled and no one was allowed to enter Sehwan from other towns.
While, it was observed that owing to failing of management of district police Jamshoro, despite of locked down situation, due to corona Virus, a big number of devotees of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar reached in Sehwan city from various parts of country to attend the Urs celebrations.
Devotees walked in the streets and main places surrounding the shrines of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and also held routine dhamal on drum beating at main road near main entry gate of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
They attempted to enter shrine but doors were locked and they were disbursed. Despite such a situation, no senior officer of police of district police Jamshoro or Hyderabad visited Sehwan to handle the situation of devotees and stop their entry into Sehwan.
