ISLAMABAD: Mystery has surrounded around the alleged suicide committed by Muhammad Wali, fruit vendor in the suburbs of Bhara Kahu.

A 15-year Afghan boy had allegedly committed suicide on Friday in the area of Dhok Hathial, within the jurisdiction of Bhara Kahu Police Station.

Investigation Officer, Muhammad Nawaz ASI told Daily Times that Afghan boy Muhammad Wali used to sell fruits on a hand pushed cart. His cousin Qalam Khan told the police that he along with his friend Malik Fida were busy in the job of painting in a house adding that in the meantime Muhammad Wali entered into the house saying to them that he wanted to check their work as how they work. When he entered into the house he fired from his pistol and shot him dead.

According to Qalam Khan when Wali entered the house he was not having any pistol and he committed suicide with the pistol which was kept in the house. Investigation officer told this scribe that statements of the cousin of the victim and his friends have been recorded. However, the incident seems to be a murder case rather than suicide. Police have sent murder weapon to laboratory at Lahore for forensic test. Post mortem report of the victim would also be received within two days. Then all the aspects of the case would be reviewed.
