LAHORE: Two operatives of a banned terrorist organisation were killed in Lahore’s Saggian bridge area on Monday.
According to a Counter Terrorism Department spokesman, intelligence agencies gave them a tip-off about the possible entry of four terrorists who planned on targeting sensitive areas of the provincial metropolis.
Sources state that police intercepted the terrorists at a picket set up on the road, but the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the police.
Two terrorists were killed in the retaliatory fire while two of the terrorist managed to flee from the area.
Ammo, weapons and explosive devices were also recovered from them.
