Khursheed Shah decries mega corruption

KHAIRPUR: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that due to mega corruption in the country, trillions of rupees of the nation are being looted by the corruption mafia.

Talking to media at Khairpur Gymkhana Club, he said that his party would show its street power after September 15, adding that there was no threat to democracy from protest demonstrations. However, he criticised the three-year performance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government. He also demanded holding general election after every four years.

Khursheed Shah said his party showed the papers of Panama leaks to the people and would continue its campaign to contact the masses in this regard. “During our tenure, we provided thousands of jobs to the people, increased government employees salaries, agriculture tax was zero and growers were happy. But now poor is becoming poorer and rich is becoming richer due to policies of PML-N rulers.”

On the occasion, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives Moula Bux Chandio said that his party and workers were present all over the country. He said Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would visit the country soon.

Earlier, an oath taking ceremony of Khairpur Press Club office-bearers was held at the Gymkhana Club, which was participated PPP stalwarts including Khursheed Shah, Nisar Khuhro, Maula Bux Chandio and others. Lala Asad Pathan administered oath from the new office bearers.
