Sir: Our society has become so intolerant and rigid that we simply don’t want to listen to the opposite/divergent views of others; though how strong, logical and accurate these views may be. It is so because we have been groomed and taught in such a manner that we give weightage and importance to our point of view; though how weak, illogical and inaccurate that point of view may be.

It is time our society started listening to the views of others as well. If the given point of view is rational and logical, then, the same may be accepted as well with a magnanimous heart. Only in this way, our society will achieve intellectual maturity and in this manner, we shall make our society a really tolerant one.
