With Jawad Bashir’s latest directorial venture ‘Teri Meri Love Story’, the expectations were pretty much higher taking ‘Teen Bata Teen’ into account.
When you see a strong cast like Ushna Shah and Mohib Mirza with Jawad’s direction, we know this is one movie that we all would look forward to and watch. The movie begins with a confession from Esha (Ushna Shah) about her falling in love with Ramis (Umar Shahzad), hoping that one day he will propose to her. And her dream turns into reality when Ramis proposes to her on the same day with the help of her two friends Sherry (Mohsin Abbas) and Danish (Ahmed Rahman). The story progresses for Esha when Rana Sahib (Salman Shahid) persuades her to get married to his friend’s only son Nael (Mohib Mirza). At first there is some resistance from Esha’s end but later, the plot takes a totally different spin when she falls for Nael instead of Ramis. And then after that things keeps on switching. Jawed Bashir has tried to surprise the audience a lot by making Esha take the decision between Nael and Ramis but only the end can tell you the fate of the protagonist. Quite a nail-biter, no?
A song that can only be defined as a mix between pop and old-school Punjabi style track, “Dil Jit Lena” is surprisingly fresh and makes you dance to its beat.
Uzma Khan, the glamorous addition to the movie, looks fresh and delivers well. Mohsin and Ahmad have done a pretty good job to make the audience laugh and Salman Shahid is a breath of fresh air in the movie. Every time he opens his mouth to deliver, you know something hilarious is coming your way. Ushna’s acting stands out. Mohib mesmerises with his lady-killer looks and he delivers good as well.
