P!nk is the latest star to reveal her battle with the coronavirus as she’s shared that she’s now recovered after testing positive.

The singer, real name Alecia Moore, has said she and her three-year-old son Jameson began showing symptoms two weeks ago when the family were already self-isolating at home.

P!nk, who also shares a daughter, Willow, with husband Carey Hart, wrote in a message on Twitter: “Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson and I were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive.”

The mother-of two went on: “Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.”

However, the Like A Pill hitmaker went on to criticise the US government for the lack of easily accessible testing for everyone.

“It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible,” she shared.

She announced that in order to support “health care professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day” she would be donating $500,000, around £407,497, to Temple University Emergency Fund in Philadelphia, as well as the same amount to the City of Los Angele’s Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

P!nk revealed the money for the hospital fund was being donated in honour of her mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years.

Other celebrities who have tested positive for the coronavirus and have since recovered include Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, as well as Idris Elba.
