KARACHI: Hum TV drama Mann Mayal’s production head Momina Duraid has termed Mann Mayal as her Mughal-e-Azam. “I think it took more out of our writers and producers to make this play than it took out of AsimKarim when he was writing and directing Mughal-e-Azam,” she said while talking to Khabaristan Times.
“Hmpf,” said one disgruntled viewer as he switched off the television when the credits rolled. “I’ve been watching this play for 33 weeks and I had to hide it from everyone too,” he told Khabaristan Times. “I lied to people and said that I was watching Penny Dreadful. Except maybe Penny Dreadful had more believability than Mann Mayal.”
“I’m just glad I’m alive and I got the girl,” beamed Hamza Ali Abbasi. “Hopefully in the next drama, I won’t have to be poor and stupid.”
“But no one even cared about my character,” said Ayesha Khan. “Even sadder because Jeena didn’t have any parents either.”
