Banks directed to install kiosks, ATMs at cattle markets, bazaars

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has instructed all banks and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) to make special arrangements by installing Kiosks, ATMs and mobile ATMs at places of business such as Cattle Markets and Bazaars etc., for the facilitation of buyers and sellers on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha. The central bank has taken measures to provide hassle free banking services, especially ATM service to the general public during the forthcoming Eid holidays. It has also been advised that cash needs should be assessed through continuous monitoring of ATMs to ensure timely replenishment of cash in ATMs. In this regard, the central bank has made special arrangements to facilitate the general public for their banking related needs. The central bank advised to ensure uninterrupted availability of ATM services during Eid-ul-Adha holidays. SBP has also advised all banks and MFBs to take necessary measures for facilitation of general public. It has also been advised that cash needs should be assessed through continuous monitoring of ATMs to ensure timely replenishment of cash in ATMs. State bank has also advised that “All” branches’ of commercial banks and MFBs will remain open on Saturday 10th September, 2016 from 9am to 5.30pm for provision of banking services to general public. SBP has always been endeavoring for smooth provisioning of banking services to the general public at large.
