Satire: ‘Ending Mann Mayal is accountability rally’s first victory’

KARACHI: Thrilled with his accountability rally already paying dividends, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has confirmed that his movement has achieved its first milestone.

While addressing a public gathering, Imran Khan said that Mann Mayal’s finale and the fact that it is now over, epitomises the success of PTI’s rally.

“We are the ones who took to the roads and protested. Had we not done it, that torture would have continued,” Khan said.

The PTI chairman said his party is on a mission to end all atrocities in Pakistan – be it emotional, psychological, economical or theatrical.

“We do realise that more people have started to come to our rallies now that Mann Mayal is over,” Khan acknowledged and added, “This shows the commitment of every faithful PTI supporter to keep an eye on all kinds of evil prevailing in the country.”

He said the rally ensures accountability of everyone associated with Mann Mayal. “We want to make Salahuddin accountable for his sheer confusion regarding Mannu and for not opening the door for her in the early episodes,” he demanded.

“If he had opened the door earlier, the entire emotional circus would have ended right there and then,” he pointed out.

“Furthermore we demand to launch a nationwide search for Jeena’s parents,” Imran said and added that despite the much needed accountability, credit must also be given where it’s due.

“We demand that a medal of bravery be given to the door that tolerated the last scene for over half an hour,” Khan said and further vowed to continue his mission despite all challenges and adversities.

“We will even conduct sit-ins in front of TV channels – if our demands are not met,” Khan said and added, “Many of us are already doing that in front of TV sets.”
