Cats and kittens just love snuggling up and sleeping in small places. They also apparently like strutting their stuff in our shoes and slippers too.

These pictures, captured by their owners, show our fluffy friends sleeping, dressed in and attempting to squeeze into our footwear – no matter their size.

Most cat owners have had a moment of panic after their kitty appears to go missing.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your house is, cats can sometimes just seem to disappear.

Often they are found tucked up in the tiniest little corner or sitting in a box you’ve left lying around.

This behaviour might be instinctive because it means they can hide from any predators and feel safe tucked up in a tight place with walls around them.

Cats are peculiar animals and can seemingly cram themselves into the tiniest little places. They will choose a cardboard box over their luxurious cat-bed that you spent money on any day.

These pictures show they don’t just like boxes – they like our footwear too.

Whether it is a sandal, high heel or slipper, they aren’t picky.

And it seems owners have had fun with their cats and footwear collection too.

The hilarious photos see kittens snoozing inside shoes and sandals or ‘pretending’ to wear a pair of sneakers.

Others have been snapped relaxing with four pairs of boots on their feet – something we can put down to their prank-loving owners.

Their determination to fit into any tight space should be applauded.

It doesn’t matter how big or small, you can be sure that they will take a seat if they can – often to hilarious results.

It might not look very comfortable, but cats continue to do it.
