ISLAMABAD: The opposition parties on Thursday staged a walkout from the National Assembly against the ruling of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for rejecting reference against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The lawmakers of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Awami National Party (ANP) staged walkout from the National Assembly following PTI Chairman Imran Khan address in the lower house, where he strongly criticized Ayaz Sadiq’s ruling.

Addressing the National Assembly, Imran said, “I don’t consider Ayaz National Assembly Speaker anymore because he is not neutral.” “Speaker accepted reference against me and rejected the same against the Prime Minister”, he said and added that instead of taking action against PM, Ayaz Sadiq is doing so against him (Imran).” “I have declared all my assets in 2013, therefore, I am not scared of ToRs,” Imran asserted. “Six years after I bought my flat [in London] I found the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital,” he said. Imran said, “I wished Ayaz Sadiq was there, I wanted to ask some questions to him.”
