Local people and villagers saved the life of a labourer who climbed a power supply pole and attempted to commit suicide by touching a pole-mounted transformer due to hunger and non-availability of ration at his home in village Kundi Chhukhi in Dadu district on Thursday.
A laborer, 40 years old Mashooq Mallah, climbed on a power supply pole and attempted to commit suicide to touch with a power supply transformer due to hunger and shortages of ration at his home at village Kundi Chhukhi in taluka KN Shah some 60 kilometers away from Dadu city on Thursday.
Other villagers arrived at spot and protected his life.
Speaking with local reporters, Mashooq Mallah said that he was laborer and due locked down situation of the towns, he could not earned a single rupees since last fourth days and he had no money to purchase food of his family members.
He said that since last four days, he could not purchase essential food items for his six family members hence he had decided to commit suicide but local villagers protected his life to commit suicide.
He said that he was earning 500 rupees daily as working as labourer so he could not collected money for any emergency situation. He demanded from Sindh and federal governments if the ration, would not be supplied him for his family members, he would commit suicide.
