Thrari Mohabbat police arrested the tribal head and five others for holding the Jirga. The Jirga fined a groom/ villager to hand over three his minor daughters – a 3-year-old, a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old – to his new father-in-law for selling them for Rs 1 million, as he had contracted second marriage with his daughter out of love.
Jirga also fined a groom to pay 1 million rupees more to the newly father in law Ashiq Seelro as cash as fine for doing second marriage with his daughter Zulekhan Seelro as a choice/ as love marriage.
Local head of the village, a head of Narejo tribe, Sadam Hussain Narejo chaired a Jirga at his Otaq at Village Jumoo Narejo in taluka Mehar some 77 kilometers away from Dadu city on Friday.
The notables of Seelro tribe, relatives of groom and bridegroom also participated in the Jirga.
Reliable Sources of Local Police Thrari Mohabbat said that In Jirga it was fined that three daughters of groom, Saeed Ahmed Seelro, seven years years old Soonh, 4 years old Noor Fatima and two years old Asia to hand over his father in law Ashiq Seelro for selling them after holding marriages with aged persons.
According to sources of local police Thrari Mohabbat, as soon as, groom Saeed Seelro resident of village Jumoo Narejo got second marriage with his choice with a girl Zulekhan Seelro , head of villager become in anger and called Jirga. Groom was forced by the influential of area to break his second marriage with bridegroom Zulekhan Seelro but groom refused. Later head of village called a Jirga to fine on groom.
Saeed Ahmed Seelro also did a marriage with Saima Seelro some 10 years back and he has three daughters which area, seven years old and second is 4 years old and third is two years old. Jirga fined to hand over his three all daughters to the newly his father in-law Ashiq Seelro for selling them due to holding second marriage with his daughter Zulekhan Seelro on the choice.
Jirga also fined a groom to pay 1 million rupees more to the father in law as cash as fine to the father in law for doing second marriage.
Heavy contingent of Thrari Mohabbat police arrived at village Jumoo Narejo, surrounded the village, searched the houses and arrested all persons involved in Jirga.
Thrari Mohabbat police, on the complaint of SHO Sub Inspector Sajad Jamali registered an FIR number 26/2020 under section 310-A, 419, 143 and 117 PPC against six persons and arrested them.
Those were arrested, identified as. Feudal Sadam Narejo, groom, Saeed son of Shams Uddin Seelro, Azam son of Peeral Seelro, Shahid son of Shams U Ddin Seelro, Ashiq son of Rasool Bux Seelro, Anwar Khatoon wife of Ashiq Seelro.
Speaking with local reporter’s Station house office, Thrari Mohabbat police station sub inspector, Sajad Jamali said that this all plan was made by Azam Seelro who is the uncle bridegroom Zukhan Seelro. He said that police managed to arrest all accused nominated in FIR and investigation was going on.
According to SSP Dadu, Dr Farrukh Raza Malik said that it was illegal act to hold Jirga and decide the fate of any one. He said that this was also illegal act to hold Jirga at village Jumoo Narejo by the Sadam Narejo related with groom Saeed Ahmed Seelro. He said that Thrari Mohabbat lodged an FIR on holding Jirga and arrested six all accused.
However, speaking with local journalists, Ashiq Seelro father of the bridegroom Zulekhan said that he wanted to sell three all daughters of Saeed Ahmed Seelro on worth of 1 million rupees according to decision of Jirga. He said that he wanted to sale to aged persons to all three daughters of Saeed Ahmed Seelro. He said that Saeed Ahmed Seelro was also aged 45 years and his daughter was t age of 19 years. He said that hence he had decided to sale the daughters of Saeed Ahmed Seelro.
