Hazara DIG orders police to fully implement COVID-19 protocol

Hazara DIG Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman has directed the police force to fully implement the protocol set by the provincial government to stop the spread of coronavirus in the Region and also issued necessary instructions for full filling their official duties without any slackness and to co-operate with other departments for the smooth running of government affairs.

This he said while presiding high power meeting held at his office on Tuesday which was largely attended by the officials of NHA, District Administration, officials of Cantonment Board, representatives of the health department, TMA , PESCO, PTCL, Sui Gas Department and other were present .

SSP Traffic Tariq Mehmood briefed the participants about the future traffic plan of the district including Galiyats and Havelian and DIG Hazara Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman has issued directives of DPO’s of Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra to immediately remove the illegal wagon and bus stands from different parts other respective district and asked the chalk out comprehensive traffic plan with the consultation of local traders, TMA officials and owners of the official adda’s.

DIG asked the executing agencies to prepare the estimates for the expansion of roads and for the widening of traffic roads, all Wapda, Sui Gas and PTCL installations to be removed for which detailed plan to be presented before divisional administration for the approval and obtaining funds from the federal and provincial governments.

officials of the district administrations to be also taken on board and all encroachments which create traffic hazards must be removed especially in the locality of the schools and colleges and no one would be spared if found guilty .

Qazi Jamil ur Rehman said that maintaining the law and order is the prime responsibility and traffic police should chalk out detailed traffic plan keeping all segments of the society into confidence and as Abbottabad and Mansehra had lot of tourists spots, and our federal and provincial governments are giving top priority to providing facilities to tourists and we are bound to facilitate the locals as well as tourists for smooth running of traffic.

In his concluding remarks, DIG asked the DPO’s to warns the police staff for the friendly atmosphere during the implementation of the traffic plan and also during removal of encroachments

SSP Traffic Tariq Mehmood Khan later distributed Surgical Face Masks among drivers, general public, motor bike owners, and pedestrians as precautionary measures with distribution of hand bills and pamphlets for the awareness of the general public to avoid the spread of the disease.

Traffic warden talking to eth general public said that masks are to be used for the environmental protection also beside the precautionary measures of the spread of Coronavirus.
