Opposition should end politics on coronavirus: Ch Sarwar

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that opposition should stop politics on coronavirus and support the government institutions in this regard as tough times come in nations’ lives.

He said, “Political, religious and all other parties will have to get united to defeat coronavirus. Political interference in any institution is out of question and the rule of law and constitution will be ensured at any cost.”

The Governor Punjab was talking to delegations led by PTI Member Punjab Assembly Saeed Ahmed Saadi and PTI Vice President Chaudhry Ashfaq and others who called on him at Governor House Lahore on Saturday.

Ch Sarwar said that government is utilizing all resources to get rid of coronavirus and all the public sector institutions are fully alert to control coronavirus. People’s protection is responsibility of the state and government will fulfill its responsibility at all costs. In addition to government, people from every walk of life must also play their role in creating awareness among the masses about safety measures against coronavirus, and In Sha Allah, together we all will do away with challenge of coronavirus and people will be protected from this virus.

The Governor Punjab said that from the day first, PTI government does not believe in politics of vengeance and we are ensuring all the institutions including NAB work independently and political interference in the institutions has been eliminated. We are ensuring supremacy of the law and constitution only because it will strengthen the country and institutions. History will never forgive the corrupt political elements. The menace of corruption is to be rooted out to strengthen the country economically for which government is working with all sincerity, he maintained.
