Over 300 firms want to set up industrial units in QABP

More than 300 national and multinational companies have shown interest to setup industrial units in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP) located at close proximity of Lahore Islamabad motorway near Sheikhupura interchange, just 15 minutes’ drive from Lahore toll plaza. This was disclosed in a meeting held at PIEDMC city office. It is worthwhile to be mentioned that Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) is establishing this mega Business Park. It is expected that the Prime Minister Imran Khan will groundbreak Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP)later this month.

The meeting was presided by the provincial secretary industries Cap(R) Zafar Iqbal. The Chairman Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) Syed Nabeel Hashmi, officials from Punjab Board of Investment and others attended the meeting.

The chairman PIEDMC, Syed Nabeel Hashmi gave a detailed briefing on the Business plan for Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Sheikhupura (QABP) and also about the inaugural ceremony. The Chairman, stated that the establishment of Business Park would go a long way in realizing the concept of state of the art business park fetching foreign direct investment, paving way for not only industrial growth but also providing the vast opportunities of employment in the province. He informed that industrial group from china have also shown their keen interest to relocate their industry. He also appreciated the support of the provincial Minister of industries Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal for his backing and guidance towards fast track industrialization in Punjab.

The provincial secretary industries Cap(R) Zafar Iqbal said that the provincial government will facilitate PIEDMC and project of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in order to generate employment. He said that government is also planning on a comprehensive program for all industrial sectors in Punjab. He said Government is working for alleviating poverty through industrialization in Punjab province.
