SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah said that the government is deliberately targeting the judiciary to make the role of the Joint Investigation Team probing the Sharif family in the Panamagate case as controversial on Tuesday.
“The government wants to incite the judiciary and the institutions,” he said that while speaking to media after inspecting the progress of development projects in Sukkur.
The opposition leader advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step aside for the sake of his party, parliament and democracy and offer his resignation.
“Nawaz should resign for the sake of the country and nation to bring a new PM,” he said that the government is making the state institutions role controversial.
He said that the picture of PM’s son Hussain Nawaz has only appeared, whereas Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto used to stand before the courts.
He further said that the Pakistan People’s Party wants the government to complete five years, but PM Sharif does not have any margin of error and has instead struck himself.
