Opp has no hope of goodwill from Modi: Khursheed Shah

Author: Staff Report

KHAIRPUR: The leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and PPP’s MNA Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said that Nawaz Sharif may have expectations of goodwill from Narendra Modi, his Indian counterpart, but the opposition doesn’t. While talking to the newsmen after offering Eidul Azha prayer, Khurshed Ahmed Shah said that Pakistan People’s Party is a democratic party that could become part of a protest aiming for strengthening the democracy, but not to the one that destroys it. He complained that the premier was not giving importance to the Parliament, and reminded him that it was the Parliament that ‘saved his boat’. He pointed out the debilitated conditions of highways, and stated that Dr. Farooq Sattar’s road accident occurred after he wrote a letter in this regard.
