Pakistanis love tea as much as they love cricket

Author: Laiba Mir

Let us face it. The fact of the matter is that us Pakistanis love taking part in competitions that game shows have to offer but Zeera Plus surprised all of us by taking it to another level.

Before we reveal what this win is about let us talk about how tea is an integral part of our society and is consumed at breakfast, snack time, dinner or just about whenever one feels like it. In addition, its perfect companion Zeera Plus biscuit is what completes tea time moments. As much as Pakistani’s love tea they share the same sentiment for cricket and this is where it all begins. The irresistible combination of a cup of tea with flavoursome Zeera Plus biscuit brought three rivalry team captains, Sarfaraz Ahmed of Quetta Gladiators, Shaan Masood from Multan Sultans and Shadab Khan from Islamabad United together. You’re wondering what the big deal is here? Let’s dive right into it.

A big shout-out to the team and here’s to looking forward to more interesting gigs in the future!

We all were curious to know, “Saiffy Bhai ke locker may kya hai?” until the cricket legend revealed he had a secret stash of Zeera Plus in his locker. This got the audience wondering and anticipating as to what’s so special about this particular Zeera Plus biscuit that wasn’t existing before. It was then that this curiosity was preyed upon by taking it one step further and making it a reality. It is to our surprise that a real gold, 22 karat biscuit, shaped and designed exactly like the actual Zeera biscuit was brought in the equation. An actual gold biscuit? Yes, you got that right. Soon after, an activity was announced where this Zeera Plus Gold biscuit was placed in one of the many lockers at the Zeera Plus booth present at LuckyOne Mall, Karachi and Packages Mall in Lahore. This gave two lucky winners the opportunity to bring the gold biscuit home. As predicted this instantly became a public attraction as people gathered to avail their chance to win the Zeera-Gold-Biscuit.

“Hazaroun chabiyan, aik locker jis mein hay Zeera Plus woh bhi sonay ka.” Just when we thought the big win was announced it was to our surprise that the other lockers had exciting gifts signed by their favourite players. This way everyone who participated in this activity went home with a surprise! Kudos to team Zeera Plus for exhibiting the true association of Zeera Plus and cricket. Let’s not forget Pakistan’s favorite radio jockeys and celebrities who took the stage with the activity; Dino Ali and Munib Nawaz in Karachi and Lahore respectively. A hearty congratulation to Mr Shahrukh in Karachi for finally cracking open Sarfaraz’s locker!

Mr. Mustafa Hanif, Group Brand Manager – Continental Biscuits Limited said, “Zeera Plus and cricket have had a long association. The love of cricket has only translated into the love of Zeera Plus over the years. We wish to continue working on this relationship and simultaneously make Zeera plus the first choice for all cricket loving Pakistanis. Here is wishing for more Pakistan based cricket tournaments and more power to our nation.”

This was an impeccable marketing stunt and it made news all over social media and television channels that showed the overwhelming turn up at both the malls in Karachi and Lahore respectively. A big shout-out to the team and here’s to looking forward at more interesting gigs in the future!
